Right-clicking image on Windows -> Properties -> Details (see attached image ) and you’ll see a bunch of extra info you can add to the meta data of the image. You’ll notice that the top Google image search results will have all of this information filled out.

Thanks for sharing and I would have to say yes. The more images you have the more Google needs to index. An image sitemap will help them do that.

I do follow all of the things while uploading an image. I use Yoast site map. They also submit images to google just like blog posts.
